Die drei Fragezeichen …

… sind Bestandteil von insgesamt 8 Stück. Jedes ist etwas über 22cm lang.
Eigentlich … und uneigentlich auch, wollte ich aus diesem Garn (Jawoll-Magic der Marke Lang) etwas anderes stricken. Die Maschenprobe sah allerdings scheußlich aus. Ein Knäuel des Garnes hatte ich von Anna geschenkt bekommen, als sie ihren Lebens- und Arbeitsort nach Oxford verlegte und in der Freiburger Strickgruppe überzählige Handarbeitssachen verschenkte. Ich erinnerte mich, dass ich 2007 mein erstes Muster bei Interweave online bestellte und sofort digital herunter laden konnte. Das eröffnete ungeahnte Möglichkeiten und anstatt meiner Bücherregale füllte sich die Festplatte meines Rechners.
Und natürlich habe ich das Muster auch ausgedruckt und abgeheftet, was ich heute nur noch in Ausnahmefällen mache. In der Regel kopiere ich mir die wesentlichen Teile der Anleitung in eine Word-Datei und drucke diese dann aus, oder ich arbeite gleich vom Bildschirm ab, wie in diesem Fall.

Actually … and also figuratively , I wanted to knit  something else from this yarn . But the swatch looked really awful. I got one of the skeins as a gift and bought the other in a local yarn store.

I remembered that it was the year 2007, when I made my first download from Interweave . Unexpected opportunities  came up and filled my hard drive quicker than my bookshelves.
And of course I had the pattern printed out, what I do only occasionally. Usually I copy the essential parts of the instructions in a Word file and then print them out, or I’m working directly from the monitor as done here.
